Our safari guide was Lomani, who took a great care of us, tried really hard that we see and experience as much as we can in a time that we had in Tanzania. He was very professional, reliable, knowledgeable and always in a good mood. With him as our guide our safari days were carefree so we could really hakuna matata. :)

Our safari was very customized to meet the desires of my 80 year old father's life long dream of going on a safari and I honestly can not stop thinking about this experience we had. I've never been so impacted by a trip before. Everything was absolutely incredible, the parks, the food, the lodging, the people, the animals, and our guide Loma made the trip an incredibly memorable one for my dad, brother and I.
Words can not even express how wonderful the trip was. If you've been thinking of going on safari, DO IT NOW and book through Shadows of Africa and ask for Loma. You will not be disappointed and will have a life changing experience. Loma has an uncanny ability to see the animals from afar and to get the vehicle in the exact position for you to see the wildlife. He also did an awesome job at listening to what we wanted to see and do and make it happen.
I also want to give a shout out to Assad who took care of getting us to the airport back in Arusha and went above and beyond to ensure we were able to get our covid tests prior to departure.

But the best part of our trip was our guide Loma. He was always in a good mood and joking. He was also extremelly professonal and knowledgable, be it about the culture, about animals, plants or everyday life in Tanzania. His animal spotting skills are amazing, he sees lions lying in the grass from 200 meters away, when others hardly see them with binoculars. This way we were able to see feeding lions, hunting cheetahs and a lion and a leopard competing for food. And all of this in just a couple of days of Safaris! It seems like he knows everyone in Tanzania and was more then happy to arrange a bunch of activities outside of our itinerary, from tasting banana wine and barbecue with the locals, to shopping and drinking local coffee.
If you book a Safari through Shadows of Africa, ask for Loma. You won’t be sorry.
